It’s a new year and what better time to ramp up the fitness regimen! After the holidays many are becoming aware of the amount of food that was consumed the last weeks. This naturally leads to the yearly revelation that fitness is indeed important. But it is also crucial to be consistent. To help us in our efforts to be consistent, low impact exercises are a great option. And one of these is rowing.

Rowing works several muscle groups

This allround exercise will exercise your entire body. This inclues arms, torso and legs (as you push off with your legs), so you can see that both upper and lower body is worked out in one go, check out the following list of muscles that benefit from rowing:

  • Quadriceps and glutes (lower body)
  • Deltoids and lats (upper body)

Get your rowing machine – No need for water!

You don’t need access to a lake or a canal to do this. A rowing machine will do the job. Check out slick rowing machines that are foldable with multiple resistance levels of tension control.
